NHS App

Online Services provide patients with access to their medical records, lab results and repeat medication ordering. 

Using the service will help you to manage your own health and access healthcare features whenever you need to. 

There are lots of apps and websites you can use. At the surgery we recommend using the NHS App.

Registering with the NHS App

The NHS App allows you to:

• order repeat prescriptions
• view your medical record
• request an appointment via eConsult
• register your organ donation
• review which pharmacy your prescriptions are sent to
• A key benefit of the NHS App is that it allows you to fully register without any intervention from the surgery. You can read more here

Before you apply for online access to your record, there are some other things to consider:

History - There may be something in your record that you might find upsetting.

Abnormal Results - If you have been given you access to test results you may see something that you find upsetting to you. This may occur before you have spoken to your doctor or while the surgery is closed and you cannot contact them

Coercion - If you think you may be pressured into revealing details from your patient record to someone else against your will, it is best that you do not register for access at this time.

Misunderstood information - Your medical records are designed to be used by clinical professionals to ensure that you receive the best possible care. Some of the information within your medical record may be highly technical, that is not easily understood.

Errors - If you spot something in the record that is not about you or notice any other errors, please log out of the system immediately and contact us as soon as possible.

The practice has the right to remove online access to services for anyone that doesn’t use them responsibly. We may not be able to offer online access if it could cause harm to physical or mental health or where there is reference to third parties.

Visit our Social Prescribers - who are also Digital Champions for  face to face help with the App. No appointment is needed just pop along and get the help and support you need to get the NHS App up and running for you and your family.
